As a fast growing company, we are looking for a Life Sciences Business Development Partnership Lead to grow the impact of our product with additional life sciences customers, including representing our solution in collaboration with our technical team, managing complex relationships, and running agreements end-to-end from prospecting to deal closure. This person would join an experienced, collaborative team of highly technical data scientists and software engineers looking to help customers save countless hours and resources cleaning messy healthcare data.

  • Base Salary for this position is between $140,000 and $175,000 with a total on-target earnings potential of $250,000-$315,000

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development of a business development plan and execution with new life science customers

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with life sciences customers, developing a deep understanding of your customer’s organization structure and objectives 

  • Prospect new life science customers through various mechanisms, including conferences 

  • Lead the business development process from prospecting to deal closure, including negotiation with customers to drive sales bookings 

  • Collaborate closely with technical team in representing our solutions to life science customers

  • Write proposals for new customers in collaboration with CEO and technical team

  • Represent deal status in pipeline reviews, including likelihood, close date, and contract value

  • Lead efforts to promote adoption of Cornerstone’s solutions within the life sciences industry, including marketing, conference participation, among others

  • Represent Cornerstone at industry conferences to promote our brand and deepen relationships 

  • Gather feedback from customers on pricing, market challenges, and competitive landscape

  • Synthesize feedback to inform discussions on Cornerstone’s product roadmap for life sciences

What You Have

  • Extensive experience with life sciences industry with a track record of delivery and business development to development, RWD, HEOR, and clinical teams

  • Deep understanding of how the life science industry consumes and values Real World Data 

  • Strong collaboration skills with internal and customer technical teams to gain buy-in on the best path forward

  • Experience selling complex solutions and driving significant revenue growth in a highly dynamic environment involving many stakeholders

  • Highly consultative with excellent communication skills

  • Thoughtful and logical perspective on how the RWD market is evolving for life sciences

  • A network of relevant industry contacts

  • Self-motivated and self-starter who works efficiently, independently and is well organized

  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
